Positions available

This role is a combination of scrum master, delivery lead and project manager in one. Managing the end-to-end planning, delivery and releases across multiple cross function teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of the development, project leadership, quality, and timely delivery of the project. You will also be responsible for Client based projects, client liaison, pre-sales, and cross-functional development.

Working closely with senior members of the technology team to reach desired goals through project management. In this position you will be expected to liaise and direct members of the Technology team to ensure projects are delivered on time.

This role is offered on a permanent or permanent part-time basis to experienced delivery managers.

Core responsibilities

  • Scrum Master – daily scrum, sprint planning and sprint review
  • Delivery lead – responsible for keeping multiple projects on track and ensuring they are completed on time and according to specifications
  • Project Management – responsible for planning, organising and directing the completion of allocated projects, whilst ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and within scope
  • Manage the end-to-end planning, delivery and releases across multiple cross functional teams with other senior members of the technology team
  • Lead the facilitation of the agile software development lifecycle with the business, project and development teams
  • Provide leadership and take accountability for the output and reporting on delivery from the four development squads
  • Facilitation of Scrum ceremonies incl. Stand up, Prioritisation, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives – as well as other meetings as necessary
  • Guide and Coach both the development teams as well as other leaders and stakeholders as necessary, ensuring that agile delivery and product development process methods are used and understood – helping to facilitate a company-wide transition to self-managing, high performing teams.

Skills, knowledge and abilities

  • Ideally certification (CSM or PSM) and experience acting as a Scrum Master or Agile Facilitator
  • Experience in guiding and coaching multiple teams in the adoption of the Agile mind-sets, behaviours, and best practices
  • Experience in leading complex software product development projects, ideally within the finance industry
  • Eagerness to learn about the Financial Advice process and industry as a whole
  • Experience with data and reporting projects
  • Familiarity and exposure to multiple agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, Scaling frameworks across multiple development teams

PADUA is looking for a Head of Paraplanning. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and operations of the Paraplanning division and a team of Quality Assurance Managers (QAMs). This includes ensuring all team members are providing timely, professional and high quality advice documentation to PADUA clients. In addition, look to continually improve the productivity of the team in producing advice documentation especially through the collaboration with PADUA’s Technology team.

This role is offered on a permanent basis to experienced Paraplanning Managers or Quality Assurance Managers who are looking to move into a Leadership team role. It is essential that candidates are highly proficient in a range of financial planning software systems (especially Xplan) and hold industry specific accreditation in the form of a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning as a minimum or preferably an Undergraduate or Masters degree in Financial Planning. This role is designed to work in conjunction with the completion of further studies where required.

This role is divided into four key areas:

  • Leading the Paraplanning division and a team of Quality Assurance Managers
  • Reporting to Leadership Team and PADUA Board

Responsible for the development and administration of training programs for PADUA advisers. This includes assessing the training and development needs for licensees and adviser practices to help individuals and groups develop skills and knowledge. Responsible for creating training manuals, running in-person training sessions and monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the training programs.

This role is offered on a permanent full time or permanent part time basis to qualified candidates. It is essential candidates are highly proficient in a range of financial planning software systems and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The candidate will require strong writing and record keeping capability for reports and training manuals.

In this role you will serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via the PADUA Service Desk, email or phone. You will triage tickets into the necessary categories for further investigation by the development team, refer customers to appropriate contacts and/or resolve physical or software issues with workstations. You will also assist with the deployment of new hardware and ensure the regular maintenance of current hardware in use.
